Data Deletion Request

This page explains how to delete the data associated with your use of KannaK Ank (package com.kannak.kannakank).

1. Data Stored on Your Device

The profiles you create (names and dates of birth) are stored locally on your device by default. To remove this data:

Open the app and delete each profile individually, or
Go to your phone's Settings → Apps → KannaK Ank → Storage → Clear data, which erases all local app data, or
Uninstall the app, which removes all locally stored data.

2. Data Synced to the Cloud

If you signed in with Google, your profiles are also backed up in our secure cloud database (Google Firebase Firestore). To delete this cloud data:

Sign in to the app with the same Google account.
Delete your profiles within the app — this removes the corresponding cloud records, or
Email us at kannaksamhitha@gmail.com from the Google account you signed in with, with the subject line "Delete my data". We will permanently delete all cloud-synced data linked to your account.

3. What Is Deleted and What Is Retained

Deleted: all profiles (names, dates of birth) and account-linked records you created, both on-device and in the cloud.

Retained: anonymous, aggregated analytics and crash data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained for service improvement. Purchase records held by Google Play are governed by Google's own policies and are kept as required by law.

4. Response Time

Email deletion requests are processed within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation once your data has been deleted.
